韦乾度
韦乾度为殿中侍御史，分司东都。牛僧孺以制科敕首，除伊阙尉。台参，乾度不知僧孺授官之本，问何色出身，僧孺对曰：“进士。”
又曰：“安得入畿？”
僧孺对曰：“某制策连捷，忝为敕头。”
僧孺心甚有所讶，归以告韩愈。
愈曰：“公诚小生，韦殿中固当不知。愈及第十有余年，猖狂之名，已满天下，韦殿中尚不知之。子何怪焉？”
