起床得很早。很想读些法文，然已格格不相入了。假定一上船便念起，何至于如此呢！懒惰，因循，到此还改不了！勉强拿起一本《英文名著选》来看，颇有几篇有趣的；William Cowper的一篇叙述他的三个兔子的文，尤好。午饭后，写了一篇《阿剌伯人》。因为明天要寄稿到上海了，所以不得不赶快写，啊，还是“急来抱佛脚！”船上有了布告，说明天到苏彝士运河时，特有医生上船来验看旅客们，同伴中颇有一二人很惊惶的。旁晚，又饱看了一次落照。拍了两张相片。
