绮缘之草《反聊斋》已三万言，才及全稿四之一。而此三万言者，皆所以写众生之幻象耳。众生既有幻象，则绮缘胡独而无幻象；众生之幻象既尝述之，则绮缘之幻象又何可独付阙如耶！于是濡我秃笔，砑我残笺，以写绮缘之幻象焉。嗟乎！文字有限而哀感无穷，愿阅者尽作痴人说梦观：而视为《反聊斋》之赘疣可也。
