一、《友会谈丛》今存版本有《广四十家小说》、《稽古堂丛刻》、《宛委别藏》、《十万卷楼丛书》本，涵芬楼《说郛》中选录六条。此次点校以《宛委别藏》为底本，用《十万卷楼丛书》本作校本。另外参校了涵芬楼《说郛》本等其它数据。
二、原书异体字、简体字，如徃、偹、尝、答、阴、□、□、□、□、□、潜、盖、□、两等，直接改为常见的正体写法。不一一出校。
三、原书在帝王庙号前均有空格，现一概删除。
