次日，二军相遇，交战不十合，成军败走。岳催军追至泸水而还。回见王逊，逊以岳不穷追李骧，乃大怒鞭岳，怒甚，冠裂而卒。
逊在州十四年，威行殊俗，士民得安。于是朝廷已知其卒，诏以其子王坚为宁州刺史，代领其众。
