蒙学课本。原名《蒙养故事》,又称《训蒙四字经》。明萧良有纂辑,夏广文为之作注。书中内容,采自二十四史中的人物故事及神话传说,按照韵部,编成对文,加以排列。清杨臣诤认为此书“有裨后学”,“逸而功倍”,加以订补,改名《龙文鞭影》,即取“龙文,良马也,见鞭即疾驰,不俟驱策”之义。喻学童读之,如良马之日进千里。清光绪间李恩绶有感于此书“风行日久”,其中“缺略复叠谬误之处亦逐篇有之”,遂逐一校对增删,重新付梓,是为《校补龙文鞭影》本。
