唐孙棨撰。一卷。棨字文威,自号无为。官翰林学士。居长安中,颇有介静之名。忧患风教,以警世人,因撰是编。成书于唐僖宗中和年间(881—884) ,约七千余字。北里,即唐长安城平康里,诸妓所聚居之地。仆马豪华,宴游崇侈。记载晚唐长安城北平康里歌妓生活以及士大夫冶游妓故事,可从中考见唐时京都市民生活,有一定史料价值。《宋史艺文志》、《郡斋读书志》、《直斋书录解题》均入小说家。有《续百川学海》本、 《古今说海》本、《说郛》本、 《五朝小说》本等。上海古典文学出版社1957年编入《中国文学参考资料小丛书》出版。
