志怪小说集。撰人不详。《隋书·经籍志》、两《唐志》及《宋志》皆不收载。《北堂书钞》、《艺文类聚》、《初学记》、 《太平广记》、 《太平御览》等类书多有征引。今人疑其亡于宋。鲁迅辑其遗文二十七条,载《古小说钩沉》。该书产生的时代亦不能确知。据鲁迅辑本所录,有晋隆安中事,可以推知其成书约在东晋末或南朝。《录异传》属于杂鬼神志怪,所记内容起自周秦,迄于东晋的鬼神、妖异、奇闻、怪事之类的传说
