凡四卷或八卷。另有卷首一卷。明代远门净柱撰于崇祯十七年（1644）。略称五灯续略。收于卍续藏第一三八册。本书集录五灯会元以后禅门诸大德之语录。所收录者，曹洞宗自华藏慧祚、天童如净至觉浪道盛；临济宗自慈化印肃至天隐圆修派下诸大德，总计四百余人；其中临济宗之人数虽占压倒性，然编者净柱乃曹洞宗石雨明方之法嗣，由其自序及凡例中，可知本书编撰之目的，乃在确定宋、元、明三代曹洞宗之系谱，并搜集该宗诸大德之语录。于各种传灯录等禅宗典籍中，本书乃提供研究宋代以后禅宗史之重要资料。
