全一卷。唐代智广撰。收于大正藏第五十四册。内容系解说悉昙之摩多（母音）与体文（子音），并略述其合成法之十八章。本书系著者受南天竺沙门般若菩提（梵Prajn~a^ -bodhi ）之指导，笔录而成。本书前后部分叙述十八章之建立，中间插置悉昙字记之标题。因而被推测，可能原为二本，后合并，或本文中混入注释。乃最早就字母及悉昙十八章作有系统之解说，故为后世之悉昙学者所广泛引用，从而注释者亦颇多。
