又称宋云行纪、慧生行传、惠生使西域传。附载于东魏杨炫之所撰洛阳伽蓝记卷五（大五一·一○一八上）。北魏孝明帝神龟元年（518），命敦煌人宋云及僧惠生北出西域至印度，正光三年（522）得佛经一百七十部归，后人记载其取经经历而成此书，为现存六世纪时关西域之重要记录。
