作者不详。一卷。敦煌遗书藏本。以“八识”说阐发菩提佛性之义。本书与早期禅宗语录有一定的关系。如书内云:“空手携锄句(钩),步行骑水牛。骑牛水上过,桥流水不流。”当源于梁傅翕(497—569)之“空手把锄头,步行骑水牛。牛从桥上过,桥流水不流。”《楞伽师资记·禅秀章》亦引“桥流水不流”句。又本书云:“身是菩提树,心是明镜台。时时拂力下,不备若(惹)尘埃。”与《坛经》中神秀偈如出一辙。本书未为中国历代大藏经所收。敦煌出土后,被收入日本《大正藏》第八十五卷。
