大乘北宗论

全一卷。略称北宗论。为唐代流行之北宗禅籍。作者不详。收于大正藏第八十五册。另有大英博物馆所藏敦煌本（史坦因第二五八一号）。本书标题之下有‘大乘心’三个小字，内文篇幅极短，全论仅四六九字，系以偈颂之形式，从北宗之立场来论述大乘心及生死与涅槃之对立。例如（大八五·一二八一下）：‘我尚不起大乘心，何况声闻心？（中略）我尚不起涅槃心，何况生死心？’又本书‘忘心’之主张，尤受注目。
