凡二卷。唐代湛然撰。又称摩诃止观义例、圆顿止观义例。今收于大正藏第四十六册。本书以七科总括摩诃止观一部之要旨，以明天台观门之大概。七例即：(一)所传部别例，(二)所依正教例，(三)文义消释例，(四)大章总别例，(五)解行相资例， (六)心境释疑例，(七)喻疑显正例。注疏有从义之止观义例科一卷、止观义例纂要六卷、处元之止观义例随释六卷等。
