亦称《大乘大义章》。东晋慧远问,后秦鸠摩罗什答。晋安帝隆安五年(401)鸠摩罗什至长安后,慧远遣人致书,而后又常向罗什致问经典和大乘深义,相互往返酬答甚多。此书所录即为这方面的内容,编辑者不详。书分上、中、下三卷。上卷六事:初问答真法身、次重问答法身、次问答法身像类、次问答法身寿量、次问答三十二相、次问答受决;中卷七事:初问答法身感应、次问答法身尽本、次问答造色法、次问答罗汉受决、次问答观佛三昧、次问答四相、次问答如法性真际;下卷五事:初问答实法有、次问答分破空、次问答后议追忆前议、次问答遍学、次问答经寿。此书国内诸藏不载,今见载于日本《卐字续藏》及《大正藏》。
