旱灾发生时，乞求降雨之修法。又称雨乞、请雨、乞雨。在密教中，依大云轮请雨经、大孔雀咒王经等谓，祈雨之修法有请雨法、祈雨法、雨乞法。依请雨经之修法，称请雨经法，一般使用请雨经曼荼罗。另据金刚光焰止风雨陀罗尼经、不动使者陀罗尼秘密法等载，止雨法与止风雨法可以止霖雨、大雨、暴风雨之降。
