全一卷。又作释三报论。东晋庐山慧远（334～416）撰。收于大正藏第五十二册弘明集卷五。孝武帝太元十九年（394）顷，戴逵撰释疑论，怀疑佛教因果报应说；慧远乃作三报论，为世俗解惑。谓业报即善恶行为之果报，依受报时间之先后，可分三种，即：(一)现报，此世受报。(二)生报，来世受报。(三)后报，未来无量世受报。谓若无三报之说，则善人受苦，恶人反得荣福等现象，则为常理所不能解释者。
