诸法集要经 十卷(宋释)日称等译，(大正藏0728部) ，《诸法集要经》中讲了三恶趣的很多经历，经中云：“由先造恶业，堕饿鬼趣中，为狱火烧炙，长受饥渴苦。”(“狱火”是地狱之火，地狱之火烧炙它，长期感受饥渴的痛苦。)从这部经典中看，饿鬼不但感受饿鬼界本有的痛苦，同时还要感受地狱的痛苦。
