此经有别生经二种，皆刘宋先公译。其一题为月灯三昧经（收于大正藏第十五册），又称文殊师利菩萨十事行经，一卷，存于宋、元、明诸藏中，相当于本经第六卷前半。其二亦名月灯三昧经（收于大正藏第十五册），一卷，高丽藏亦收之，缩刷藏经后记推断此为历代三宝纪卷四所传安世高之译本，谓类似本经第五卷后半。本经现存梵本在一八九六年于加尔各答出版，题为三昧王（Sama^dhi-ra^ja），梵文大乘集菩萨学论（S/iks!a^samuccaya）之引文中称之为三昧王月灯经。
