全一卷。东晋时所译，然译者佚名。收于大正藏第十六册。佛陀欲令阿难度化鞞罗羡那王子出家，乃令阿难为之解说出家之功德，谓出家乃胜于布施等一切功德，诸功德中以此为最上。初时，佛闻鞞罗羡那王子之音乐，记彼七日当命终，遂使阿难劝其一日一夜出家。以此出家功德，命终后生于天上，二十劫间不堕三涂，常生天上、人间，最后得辟支佛果。阿难又问助人出家之福与障人出家之罪，佛具答之。
