凡五卷。西晋竺法护译。收于大正藏第三册。本生经之一种。系由叙说佛陀及弟子之本事、本生因缘之小经集辑而成，凡有五十五经。其中，最后一经题为譬喻经，乃叙说八种事缘；又卷二舅甥经与希腊人希罗多德（Herodotos）之历史故事中关于埃及王雷色斯（Ramses）三世之记载，二者内容相同，或谓由此可推知二者间应有关系。
