一卷，刘宋求那跋陀罗译。大宝积经第四十八胜鬘夫人会之异译也。佛在给孤独园，波斯匿王末利夫人共致书于其女阿踰阇国王妃胜鬘夫人称扬佛德。胜鬘得书欢喜说偈，遥请佛来现。佛即现身。胜鬘说说偈赞叹其德。佛为授记。胜鬘复发十弘誓愿，感天花天音。乃至说大乘了义，广明二乘不了义（其了义为唯一佛乘也），佛赞印是放光升空而还独园，告阿难及天帝释结名付属。
