凡十卷。隋代阇那崛多译。收于大正藏第一册。其内容叙述世界之组织、状态、起源、成坏等过程。分阎浮洲品、郁单越洲品、转轮圣王品、地狱品、诸龙金翅鸟品、阿修罗品、四天王品、三十三天品、斗战品、劫住品、世住品、最胜品等十二品。本经共有六种译本，然现存者仅四种，除本经外，余三者为起世因本经（隋代达磨笈多译）、大楼炭经（西晋法立、法炬共译）、长阿含经卷十八至卷二十二（东晋佛陀耶舍、竺佛念共译）。［出三藏记集卷二、大唐内典录卷七、开元释教录卷二、卷四、卷七］
