全一卷，或二卷。后汉安世高译。收于大正藏第二册。乃集辑有关修道修观之小经。此经版本有二：(一)高丽本为一卷，共收三十部小经。(二)宋、元、明三本为二卷，共集四十七部小经。就后者而言，第一经（称为七处三观经）及第三经后半（无眼）说色谛、色习、色尽、色灭、色味、色出要、色苦之七处，及观色、观五阴、观六衰之三观，故经名七处三观。
