问：本有今无偈，其义云何？答曰：据涅槃经义，本有者，本有佛性（胡适本有今无者三字，可从。），今无佛性。问：即言本有佛性，何故复言今无佛性？答：今言无佛性者，为被烦恼盖覆不见，所以言无。本无今有者，本无者，本无烦恼，今有者，今日具有烦恼，纵使恒沙大劫烦恼，亦是今存。故言三世有法，无有是处者，所谓佛性不继于三世。
