全一卷。又作梵志頞罗延问种尊经、梵志问种尊经。东晋竺昙无兰译于太元六年至二十年（381～395）。收于大正藏第一册。内容叙述頞波罗延婆罗门（梵Assala^yano ）与五百婆罗门人至祇树给孤独园，诘问世尊有关种姓平等、自性清净之论说，世尊遂以入溪洗垢、王得贤臣，及火、出生、日月、父母合会等之譬喻，解说人生而平等，惟以所行之善恶为贵贱之别。本经为中阿含卷三十七阿摄和经之别译，内容亦相当于南传巴利文中部（Majjhima nika^ya）之第九十三经。
