又名《大无量寿经》。印度大乘佛教经典,中国佛教净上宗所依三部主要经典之一。三国魏康僧铠译。二卷。北图有霜28等近十号;俄、日、英、法亦有数十号。此经主要叙述法藏菩萨四十八愿,并称该法藏菩萨后修行成佛,即为阿弥陀佛,又名无量寿佛。他所许的四十八愿亦一一成就。四十八愿的主要内容是要成就无上佛身,建立一个极乐净土和接引一切虔信弟子进入西方净土永享极乐。
