此经以心观为宗，实相为体，所言佛说观无量寿佛者，佛是所观胜境，举正报以收依果，述化主以包徒众，观虽十六，言佛便周也，从能说，所说人以立名，以心观净，则佛土净，为经宗致，生善灭恶，为经力用。大乘方等而为教相，二藏明义，菩萨藏收。渐顿悟入，此即顿教。从如是，讫清净业处，为序分。从尔时世尊放眉间光，讫诸天发无上道心，为正说分。尔时阿难白佛下，讫经。为流通分。
